Captivate For Mac
Click to expand.Rooting seemed to be a lot easier if you asked me on a Mac. Everyone on Windows has to worry about which OS they are on, and if its 32 vs 64bit. The whole thing was pretty painless for me. The only difference comes when you are in terminal, and editing files on your phone. All the guides say 'adb.' , and on Mac the only difference is using './adb.' So for example: Win - adb push Mac -./adb push If you have any issues rooting, just be sure to reread everything, contact the OP or contact someone with a Mac.
As for music, I use doubletwist, and it gets the job done. Not as appeasing to the eyes as iTunes or using an iPod, but if you want your music, it's a way to go.

If you are strapped for cash, or simply need to just do a quick demonstration with some Captivate-like type features, then can help. Depending on your needs this free tool enables you to record your screen in a eerily similar interface as Adobe Captivate. You can even add custom call out buttons detailing the different steps and/or any other information. ActivePresenter’s free edition is limited, the most limiting feature to me is the inability to export to flash. But hey, it can make some solid MP4 videos (as well as other formats), and it even is SCORM 1.2/2004 compatible, so not all is lost.
Oh, and if you decide you like it just as much as Adobe Captivate, the price point is a lot easier on your wallet for many of the same features – feel free to and make an educated decision. Personally, if you need Adobe Captivate, I would recommend just buying that program. The main reason: the support system. That is worth the extra cost alone.

I don’t think you’re going to find too many active forums for ActivePresenter anytime soon. But for the free edition, it’s a pretty solid price.
